Conversation Piece

jesus liberal

Last week at my parents', the conversation went something like this:

Dad: "Who do you think was the greatest liberal thinker of history?"
Anthony: "Jesus."
Dad: "Me, too."
Mom: "Shh! Hannity and Colmes is on."

While I like Stinks, I am going to have to disagree on the Mr. Rogers thing. Those sweaters smacked of the right wing.

sirstinksalot, i never thought i'd say this, but i gotta agree with you.

i mean, picture mr. rogers. with that velvety voice and unassuming tone. i guarantee if you asked 50 real americans whether they thought he drove a volvo and drank lattes, i guarantee you they'd say hell yeah! (and if they didn't, then you weren't asking real americans. make sure they say hell yeah--not "yes" like some commie from massachusetts all annunciating like.) yeah, dude. that mr. rogers was a total liberal pig! anybody can see it! it's as plain as bruce willis' gayness! you with me?

Wasn't Mr. Rogers a Lutheran minister? I mean, I don't know if I should really even be commenting, as I am not even a "real" american. Also, since I am a fake american, I feel comfortable asking exactly what definition of liberal we are using? And yes, I totally used the royal we. However, speaking of real americans, how about that ol' sum' bich' Cheney shooting someone in the face? I mean, that just smacks of testicular fortitude (that means he's got balls for you right wing folk).

i think he needed a special stamp, but really the amount of time and effort media are dedicating to this story makes me sick. i'd place it right up there with the news coverage of the whole natalee holloway aruba "tragedy." oh, if only the hundreds of thousands of dead rwandans and sudanese were privileged, white, blonde americans maybe they could have drawn something close to equal coverage.

Yes, I agree that the whole Cheney thing is out of control. Personally, I can think of at least a dozen major world events that I find much more relevant. And this from the woman who has been seeking a t-shirt with Cheney's face on it and the word "dick" for approximately six years (without luck, I might add). Although, I will admit, I have a newfound respect for Cheney. He is right up there with 50 cent on my list of true gangstas.
