I think it's time to get another one. After all, both those machines combined still don't touch the mighty and dreadful power of my G5 Quad.
Sometimes it moves from room to room by itself in the night. Now THAT'S power, my friend. Sometimes it goes outside and mows the lawn. That's power too. And initiative. I'd be surprised if your laptops have even fetched you a beer from the fridge.

(I hope you know I'm kidding.)

well, there's no way that your quad's power cord could possibly reach all the way out onto your lawn, so that's just ridiculous.

i'd believe it cooking or maybe doing your laundry, but come on. (ooh ooh! galadriel--laundry!!)

and what's so sad about all this is that i have only one powerbook. (the other is a friend's that i'm working on.) yet you (andy) asssume that i'm some kind of cyborg (andy) who would waste his money on two powerbooks only .5 ghz (andy) apart.

i was just at the coffee house on tom's pc. i typed a great response basically agreeing with luke's ever-so-subtle criticism of apple.

then, just as i scrolled down to click 'login and publish,' a pop-up appeared that looked exactly like a windows system dialog box. so i clicked on it and it took me to this lewd site. then i accidentally automatically made this nasty bum site my homepage and got three "anthony invites you to visit girlnextdoor.org" emails sent to everybody in tom's address book.

i also somehow accidentally authored a worm that got sent to a call center in india. it should be stateside by tomorrow morning, so i'd recommend going to symantec.com/updates/microsoft/help/
~girlnextdoor.org/coffeehouse/tom/anthonyworm.exe to get the security fix.

(this, of course, doesn't apply to mac users.)

Thank goodness I don't have to have any virus protection software taking up system resources. Thank goodness I've never had a case of spyware on my machine. Thank goodness I haven't had a system crash in years. I can now laugh at the blue screen of death.

I'm not saying it's the RIGHT way, I'm just saying it's A way.
